Private Foundation Hospital Asil of Granollers is a health and social care facility that is part of the Public Use Health Network in Spain. The Foundation is composed of the Geriatric Centre Adolfo Montañá and the General Hospital of Granollers, which serves nearly 400,000 living in the Vallès Oriental, Barcelona region. The hospital offers a wide range of services in modern facilities.
The hospital kitchen has 28 workers, serving three meals a day for hospital patients and staff. The kitchen had issues with water leakage into the subfloor. The problem needed to be resolved quickly without interrupting the key catering service.
Euroline, a engineering, design and installation company, suggested Altro safety flooring and hygienic wall cladding for the project. Altro Stronghold 30 and Altro Whiterock, when installed together, creates a water tight and impervious solution for commercial kitchens, preventing water ingress, as well as providing the safety and hygiene needed for kitchens.
Euroline installed 600m² of Altro Stronghold 30 in the kitchen, hallways and common areas and 100m² Altro Whiterock White in areas with high humidity. Tània Luis Ferrer, Supervisor of General Services Center , said: “We chose Altro flooring for its easy and quick installation and their slip-resistance. The installation was completed quickly and had minimal distruption of services. Euroline recommended the best option for us.”
